Barcelona’s best restaurants prepare their best Tapas for the second Tast La Rambla week.
Summer means plenty of things: heat, terraces, beach, pool, holidays, friends and, specially, cocktails. It’s not as if we don’t like to drink cocktails the rest of the year, but in July and August they feel specially well.
So, to better deal with this high temperatures, we have asked the barmen of 5 downtown Barcelona establishments their favorite cocktail to survive the summer.
A cocktail with Brockmans gin. Once you perfume the cup with orange peel we pour the gin, add a twist of juniper and Mediterranean Fever Tree tonic water. Stir and add three dehydrated raspeberries to provide its rose tone.
A delicate long drink with berries and star fruit, full of armony. Jewel of the sea of the Excentrics Cocktails collection, is elaborated with yuzu juice, agave syrup, lime juice, elderberry liquor and Grey Goose. For this cocktail, Javier de las Muelas suggests a decoration with star fruit, starry anise, berries and glasswort.

The Pulitzer terrace recommends the WILDERNESS. A cocktail with Wild Turkey Bourbon, Campari, fresh berries and rosemary honey, shake and serve with crushed ice and a forest mint branch
Traditionally and option without alcohol prepared with strawberries, pineapple, orange and peach juice, coconut and mango purée. For those who prefer it with alcohol, it combines well with white rum or vodka.
The Macallan, amaro Ramazzotti, truffle honey and lavender bitter. Smoked with vanilla and chocolate tobacco. It can be served with one of this whiskies: The Macallan Amber, Whisky The Macallan Sienna, Whisky The Macallan Ruby, Whisky The Macallan Rare Cask. It’s a cocktail that is served with a crystal cover with vanilla and chocolate smoke in the inside. Once it is opened you can see the cocktail: “The prohibition and exuberance of luxury. In honor of Scott Fitzgerald, we suggest to taste this Paradise classic harmonizing it with different Macallan characters”
