BAM Festival: End of summer Pop
Coinciding with the Mercè festivities, on September 21, 22, and 23 it will be time for the Barcelona Acció Musical Festival, the last of this summer's festivals.
This year’s summer festivals are coming to an end in an unusual way: after three months of music, going wild and Erasmus Borrachas, the finale is going to take place during the festivities in honour of the Mare de Déu de la Mercè (Virgin of Mercy). It’s been going for 20 years already and this year the Barcelona Acció Musical festival (BAM) is back in town.
On September 21, 22, and 23, Barcelona will offer for free an eclectic sample of the best national and international live pop. Bands like The Dream Syndicate, Mishima, Bigott, Hola a todo el mundo, Los Punsetes, Maika Makovski, and many more will be playing on six stages set up especially for the occasion: the Plaça Reial, the Plaça dels Angels, the Plaça Joan Coromines, the Parc Fòrum BAM, the Parc Fòrum Electro-BAM and the iconic Fábrica Estrella Damm, which will host The Kooks’ concert, the well-known Love of Lesbian, and La Iaia, the latest talent in Catalan pop.
What better way to say goodbye to the summer?
