The Passatge de la Concepció proves itself day after day to be one of the most interesting streets in Barcelona cuisine-wise. Adding to the existing quality restaurants Tragaluz, Petit Comité, Mordisco, and Boca Grande is a new japanese restaurant: Sushi Shop. The company, led by French chef Thierry Marx, has transformed number 2 of the Passatge de la Concepció into a true gourmet restaurant of the highest quality, where guests can enjoy a sensory journey through sight, taste and smell.

Like all of the brand’s restaurants, the new Sushi Shop in Passeig de Gràcia strictly follows the cosmetic and culinary guidelines established by Thierry Marx. These include a menu with a wide variety of Japanese delicacies, hand-crafted recipes brought to life right in front of you by expert sushi cooks, use of high-quality products, impeccable food presentation and a “zen” ambiance using oak, dim lighting and black colours.

Conscious Cooking

Sushi Shop presents itself as an environmentally-conscious company that is constantly seeking new ways make its business greener by using healthy products and non-polluting means of transport. All the fish on the menu are not endangered species, the sushi boxes are made from 100 % recycled materials and the bags are made from recyclable kraft paper. Their website www.sushishop.eu provides an excellent take-away service that uses bicycles and electric scooters whilst guaranteeing optimum delivery conditions.

The Chef

Thierry Marx, owner of the Sushi Shop company awarded with two Michelin stars, has created eight new recipes exclusively for its restaurants.Marx has worked intensely experimenting with new sauces and incorporating Wagyu beef into the menu, a meat known worldwide for its exceptional flavour and tenderness.

Sushi Shop is not limited to the art of culinary aesthetics, but its imagination and perfect product mastery are at the heart of this new collection of star products.
