The Other Barcelona
The Palau Robert offers an imaginary journey through a captivating Barcelona thanks to Lluís Bussé's innovative photographic work.
Today is the last day to enjoy the exhibition Barcelona’s Multiverse in Sala 2 of the Palau Robert. It is an exhibition that through the skillful hands of Lluís Bussé creates an imaginary Barcelona full of fantasy and surprises.
Bussé pieces together images of well-known sights and monuments like pieces of a puzzle that, when put together, show a new Barcelona that could exist in a parallel universe.
The exhibition presents the images grouped into three sections: the first includes relocations of the city’s significant buildings; the second, a possible Barcelona with Venetian-style canals; and the third, a Barcelona built straight on top of the beach and the sea.
The offering is based on the multiverse theory by mathematician Hugh Everett, who sees our universe as being one among other possible universes. Whether you believe the theory or not, what is certain is that if you visit Barcelona’s Multiverse you will step into a parallel universe where nothing is as you had imagined.
