Teatre Condal hosts from February 2 to April 24, Taxi. The protagonist, a taxi driver, is an apparent happy man married with a quiet and monotonous life. Nothing further from the reality. He is married with two women living with each one in a different neighborhood. That forces him to take a very strict timetable planning and juggle to be able to satisfy both. He is really in love with the two and doesn’t want to lose any of them. All his plan fades when he goes to the hospital and his name appears twice in each district police station. Will he be two people with the same name or one person with a double life? That is what the police will try to discover and what he will try to hide. To do it, he will need the help of a very uncomfortable neighbour.
The most successful comedy of Ray Cooney, was premiered in 1983 at the Shaftesbury Theatre, representing uninterruptedly for 12 years in London’s West End. The cast was change up to 20 different times being interpreted by the most popular comedians of the UK. And then, the comedy jumps to Broadway taking into account more than 500 productions in all the world and has been translated into 35 languages.
