JIMMY CHOO AUTUMN / WINTER 11
Jimmy Choo introduces her new collection with a campaign inspired by the glamour of the ‘70s film, designed by New York photographer Steven Meisel.

“In flagrant” or “Hands in droves.” This could be called the new Jimmy Choo campaign for the season A / W 2011. Tired of being alone or put up with her husband, ‘woman JC “has sought out a friend and candid camera Steven Meisel’s surprised together, and in a more than suspicious attitude, in a suite at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel New York.

Like the new collection of shoes and handbags, the advertising campaign is inspired by the great female icons of French cinema of the ’70s as Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Rampling and Veruschka, so admired for her beauty and glamour in front of cameras as by her innate style outside.

That model Raquel Zimmerman be accompanied by a male model (Ben Hill) is no coincidence, as the campaign also serves to announce the launch of the first collection of men’s shoes by Jimmy Choo in nearly a decade.

This is the first work of Steven Meisel for the firm. Usual Italian and American editions of Vogue magazine and creator of countless campaigns for Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Versace, Meisel is considered one of the most influential fashion photographers of the last 20 years. In his medals, among other great merit is also to have been the photographer of Madonna on her controversial book Sex.
