Las Rozas Village and La Roca Village, the best plan for this Easter
The Villages are the essentials destinations to find the best fashion proposals for spring.
After three years of inspiration and hard work, the swallows created by artist Pamen Pereira have invaded the Hermès store of Passeig de Gràcia. Under the title El Don del Tiempo, Pereira has become the first spanish artist to participates in Carte Blanche, a project that gives support to culture, young artists, and contemporary art.
Hermès decided to work with Galician artist Pereira because of her innovative and far-reaching work, and her ability to reflect on and make the audience reflect on the important aspects of the “now” concept. “When I knew that the main subject of the project was going to be El Don del Tiempo, I thought that it was a title that could be fitting for any of my projects. When I was thought about it I chose swallows because they were the perfect way to link the window display and the inside of the store”, explained Pereira.
Pereira’s intimate work is a reflection on nature and time. As the artist herself said, “We have to stop the world to notice how the time goes by”, as the present is the only thing that exists. The swallows suspended in mid-air create a bridge between the window display and the inside, and they end their journey in a perfume bottle were “time is waiting to happen when someone opens it”.
This refreshing project will only be on show at Passeig de Gràcia 77, until September 29.
