LUXURY STAY BETTING ON PASEO DE GRACIA

Firms of prestige like Prada or Manolo Blahnik open boutique while other distinguished neighbours like Santa Eulalia, Furest or Loewe renewed their establishments. Paseo de Gracia preserves all its magnetism in spite of the crisis.

That Prada, Ferrari, Manolo Blahnik have decided to establish in Paseo de Gracia it would not have to be considered as a simple coincidence, neither those shops like Santa Eulalia, Furest, Loewe or Chanel had renewed or expanded their establishments. If somebody thought that the magnetism of the main commercial axis of Barcelona was losing attractiveness made a mistake.

Armani

Armani will open his new shop in the corner of Paseo de Gracia with Caspe. The distributor of Armani arrived to an agreement to yield with Gonzalo Comella. In return the new shop of Gonzalo Comella, inaugurated on April, is located in the street Rossellón corner with Paseo de Gracia.

Chanel

The New Yorker architect Peter Marino has been commissioned for the renewal of Chanel shop that has annexed the contiguous, in the past occupied by Armani Colleccione.

Ferrari

The “Cavallino Rampante” firm opened his flagship store in the ancient establishment of Mandarina Duck, in the corner of Paseo de Gracia with Consejo de Ciento. At the inauguration, the official pilots of her F1 team, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, signed in the counter of the shop.

Furest

The Catalonian firm Furest, another distinguished neighbour of Paseo de Gracia, remodeled recently her establishment and the masculine fashionable lines.

Manolo Blahnik

The designer Manolo Blahnik lived an idyll with Barcelonan in the decade of the seventies and always kept the wish to open a boutique. The dream became a reality few weeks ago, with the opening of a shop inside the Hotel Mandarín Oriental. Although the establishment is already opened to the public, the official inauguration is expected for mid September.

Loewe

The group Louis Vuitton Moët Henessy has decided to bring up to date Loewe shop. As it already did with the boutique of Valencia, Peter Marino directs the reform of Paseo de Gracia 35. While remodeling works, Loewe will operate temporarily in the number 91.

Prada

After almost three years of searching, finally the Italian firm will open her shop in Paseo de Gracia 88 joining the area till now occupied by Podium and L’Oreal.

Santa Eulalia

The new shop Santa Eulalia was inaugurated on March with a spectacular mapping in 3D projected on its façade. The shop integral remodeling was carried out by the American architect William Soefild. The new shop, of 2.000 m2 of surface, has been appointed finalist in the prizes WGSN Global Fashion Awards in the category “Outstanding Customer Experience”.
