She is a sophisticated and svelte protocol expert. Her mood is different, mysterious. She could be one of these cool characters of street portraits of The Sartorialist or one of the svelte protagonists of Sex in the City. It could not be more appropriate: she comes from Madrid to shopping, or perhaps escaped from a boring business meeting to do a route of the must. The question is that she recognizes to be habitué at Yves Saint Laurent of Passeig de Gracia. Once steps this street, she cannot avoid to be retouched at Le Salon and to empty Jofré.
Fanis walks along the streets of the city of the hand of one of his daughters for first time. He never before travelled. He came to Barcelona to see it, but for nothing of the world would change his industrial city, Ulyanovsk, in Russia. Is a communist of the old school. A true proletarian; was a bricklayer all his life, and is blown away by paved streets and by the amount of bikes that circulate. Has the impression that the Spanish suffer the crisis for the simple reason of not wanting to work.
He is a mobile art gallery. Some years ago had his own show “itinerant” and housing then in one of the sides of the MACBA Museum, and now on one side of the Palau Robert. Although he left Haiti decades ago, his roots, his past haunts him. Each of his work explores his childhood wistfully among cotton pickers, sensual women of color and a certain aged and colonial atmosphere saturated of bright colors.
