In July we were awarded at the prestigious LAUS awards a Gold for the Best Online Media 2012. In the 42nd edition, the awards were very well spread out. To give you an idea of the level of excellence, we shared the stage with Yorokobu, who snatched up a Gold Award for Best Blog. Now you might be asking yourselves, right, so now what?
For starters, two new members have joined our team, Maria Brú in the fashion section, starting off with an interview with Scott Schuman, undisputed guru of the fashion blogosphere, or Alfredo Resano in the cuisine section. They’re both here to strengthen our team to keep up with the relentless pace our street marks us.
It’s a frenetic pace that we’re part of. La Casa Batlló ended the events celebrating its 10th anniversary since it opened up its doors with an impressive videomapping: “The awakening of the Casa Batlló”. Very soon we will find out the winners of the Instagram competition, which we’ll be judging along with El Terrat and Nueve Ojos.
The first week of November we will discover what’s fashionable in interior design thanks to Casa Decor. It is currently on its 20th edition, and this time it will take over the old building of Milton Friedman’s infamous Chicago Boys. Don’t miss it and get yourself a catalogue.
We’re starting a busy month. Stella McCartney is going to visit us to open her boutique, the Maison Takuya pop-up store in Santa Eulalia and Shopping Night will be back once again. If Gaudí were still around to see it all…
To find out firsthand how to achieve our goals, however difficult they may seem, we had a chat with an expert in the field, Albert Bosch. We enjoyed the sun on the quiet terrace of the Hotel Omm making the most of the Indian Summer. Albert, whose achievements are nothing short of Felix Baumgartner’s, ended his solo expedition to the South Pole and he talked to us about this upcoming challenges. Business challenges committed to sustainability are as those of the innovative initiatives of Veja and Sawa, two green brands from Ethiopia and Brazil that are trying to change the course of things.
