After a long holiday time and other various Christmas-related events, we want to proudly show you magazine #2. Even though it wasn’t in the plans, we decided to name it PASSION since it was passion what people we’ve met have proved to have.

It all started a November afternoon at La Pedrera, where we were enjoying a pleasant conversation with Carmen Burgos in her living room, radiating an incomparable passion for all of Gaudí’s works. A flat where you breathe art from every corner, a flat that Roca-Sastre’s widow (Roca-Sastre is the lawyer that authored the Derecho de Sucesiones) let us photograph with César Lucadamo’s Rolleiflex.

I also had the chance to meet Xavier Trias, Barcelona’s new Mayor that will have to face the challenges that await him. His busy schedule shows that he is passionate for everything Made in BCN. We set up an interview to get to know the human side of a politician with plenty of experience whose childhood is linked to Passeig de Gràcia (in fact, his family home was in Consell de Cent, between Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia).

Passion, distilled at low heat and poured into each and every one of the images of MADAME, an editorial photoshoot in black & white by Elena Claverole, her second appearance in the magazine.

Our friend Ona Boix, gives a new look to an everyday accessory, the foulard. Passionate about the textures in the city she lives in, she has created an exclusive collection for Gratacós.

For those who do not know about it, the Colmado Quilez is one of those wonderful that can be found in our city.At the corner of the extremely busy career Aragó where it crosses the peaceful Rambla de Catalunya, we can still visit an establishment that has been carefully selecting high quality products since 1908. With an incredible wine-cellar they have rode on through the 21st century proving each and every year that they’ve got the know-how and talent that brings out the passion in us. The special article Pairings of Anna Solsona is a reflection this.

Once again it is time for the Sales, the first ones in 2012, and we’re wondering if there really is a change coming about in brands, retail and consumer attitudes.Some retailers claim to sell 80% of their total annual revenue during the sales…

I hope that the passion shown by each of our contributors and members of the team with whom I have the pleasure of working with on this project manage to bring out the emotions in you. That is our goal.
