Following a template set out by US cities, Barcelona’s hotels have revamped their terraces and opened them to the public, turning them into an essential stop for people looking to get up and out of the heat, and a unique opportunity to check out some of the cities most unique spaces.

If basic curiosity wasn’t enough of a motivation, the 59 hotels will be offering a smorgasboard of activities, including cookery workshops, dj sets, live music and yoga swing and zumba classes, all sponsored by Catalan winemakers Torres.

And if after all that wine, getting home feels like a struggle, you can take part in the Instagram contest ‘A vista del hotel’. Post your pictures of the terrace or of the Torres wine, and post it along with the #Setmanaterrasses15 to be in with a chance of winning a night for two in the Hotel Miramar Barcelona or a visit to the Universo Torres wine experience. Both things worth getting high for.
