Victoria (Emma Vilarasau) is the protagonist of a love triangle in the middle of the clandestine political struggle in a city scared by the dictatorship. The necessity will finally force her to take sides between ideologies permitted and prohibited… Victòria is the last text of Pau Miró, one of the most prominent voices of contemporary catalan theatrical panorama.
Victòria is a story of fear, love, and corruption that takes place in Barcelona in the 50′s. Fear, is the most brutal mechanisms of repression the police system and the spiritual support of the Church used, creating a State of panic in the citizen. This fear, and the current fears are different. Is there anything of those fears that still resound today? Is there anything of our inaction associated with that fear?
You can enjoy this magnificent work at Teatre Nacional de Catalunya on May 27 to June 12 and also there are dates in which the session is adapted for people with sensory disabilities.
