Passeig de Gràcia and the streets around it are ready to welcome a new improved and expanded edition of The Shopping Night Barcelona. A crow-gathering festive event that brings together fashion, culture, cuisine and charitable causes. Two years ago since it first started, it now seeks to establish itself as one of the biggest social events in Barcelona and in the international scene.
It will be a magical night for all attendees. Especially for one of them: Antoni Gaudí. The brilliant architect, one of the pioneers of making Passeig de Gràcia the famous avenue that it is today, will walk down the avenue 85 years later, invited by the team at Passeigdegracia.com.
His arrival is scheduled for 20:30 at the intersection of Carrer Rosselló and he will travel on foot along the different buildings and locations where the Shopping Night is taking place. You will be able to see him visiting some of the participating establishments, eating some churros with chocolate at the Hotel Alma or admiring the new Christmas lights that are certain to impress him.
What will Gaudí think about walking once again along the Passeig de Gràcia? What will he feel after being reunited with La Pedrera or the Casa Batlló? Will he understand the new ways of Barcelona? Will he miss the old trams and horse-drawn carriages? You can ask him yourself when you see him tonight. Look around for him and get to finally meet him. Say hello, talk to him and take photos so that you’ve got a special reminder of this historic moment.
