The Collection, #1: The essence of Antoni Tàpies
The Fundació Antoni Tàpies is presenting in Space A a selection of 17 works that cover the different stages of the artist's career from the 40s until today.
The Fundació Antoni Tapies is again pleasing admirers of Antoni Tapies or of any modern and contemporary art movement with Antoni Tapies. Collection, #1, a journey through time to admire the artist’s early years and first works in 1945 up until his more mature and recent works from 1955 onwards.
The exhibition is focused on an updated selection of works belonging to the Collection and consists of a total of 17 pieces amongst which we find Parella [Couple], Espiral negra [Black Spiral] or Palla i fusta [Straw and Wood]. All of them are aimed at presenting the different creative moments of the artist and the evolution of typologies, techniques and materials.
To finish off the journey there will be a screening of the documentary T de Tàpies [T for Tàpies], directed by Carolina Tubau and produced by Televisió de Catalunya.
