“Romanesque Times. Art, life and awareness”
See, hear and smell like in the 11th century to understand life in Catalonia. This is what the new and interactive exhibition of Palau Robert offers.
The “Romanesque Times. Art, life and awareness” exhibition uses audiovisual and interactive resources to take visitors back in time a thousand years to see, hear, smell and, in short, experience what the people behind the stones – the all-powerful clergy and the lords – were really like. The display also gives an insight into the aesthetics of an age, the technological advances and innovation of the Romanesque as a whole: a unique, singular element of heritage both inside Catalonia and beyond its boundaries.
The first opportunity to visit the exhibition will be in Room 3 of Barcelona’s Palau Robert, from 9 September 2014 to 18 January 2015. It will subsequently travel to various towns and cities around Catalonia.
