4 good reasons to stay in Barcelona in August
Tiga, Pachanga Boys, Midland and Derrick May at Piknic Electronik.
Barcelona in August is kind of like being in an oven inside a sauna in hell. That said, the weekly events put on during the summer by Piknic Electronic make a compelling case for staying. Not only is the crowd consistently up for it, it’s located close enough to the bars of Poble Sec to slope off for cañas and tapas if the bpms get too much for you. Line up wise it’s a spot on balance between house and techno legends and up and coming international talents. This year the highlights include Pachanga Boys and Deetron on the 2nd August, Bugatti driving synth playboy Tiga and sleazy house weirdo Shaded on the 9th and deep tech from the future/past with Midland and Detroit techno legend Derrick May on the 23rd.
