Opera Nights at the Comedia: Otello
The Cinema Comedia foresees one night a month to the projection of great operas. On Sept. 15, fans have an appointment with "Otello" by Verdi.

The Cinema Comedia, the last of the big cinemas of Passeig de Gracia which is still active, foresees one evening a month to the projection of large format works of the genre in HD. A different way to “live” opera, with quality image and exceptional sound.
The next September 15 at 20:30 arrives “Otello,” the latest tragic Verdi opera that tells the unforgettable story of jealousy and revenge based on the work of William Shakespeare. Stephen Langridge’s production, performed at the Salzburg Festival with the musical direction of Riccardo Muti and a formidable cast of artists led by tenor of Latvian origin Aleksandrs Antonenko (Otello) and the Russian soprano Marina Poplavskaya (Desdemona), and Spanish baritone Carlos Alvarez in the role of Yago.
