LIVESOUNDTRACKS “POETRY IN THE DARKNESS” AT SALA HIROSHIMA
Five international artists will present performances in which, the aesthetics of the film reunites the paradigm of live electronic music.
Poetry in The Darkness is the metaphorical trip to find the way in the dark, a series of experimental electronic music with live cinema sessions and video art that the agency and LiveSoundtracks festival has released at Sala Hiroshima of Barcelona.
Five international artists will present performances which reunites the paradigm of live electronic music. Three women and two men to a line-up with the aim to explore international panoramas geographically distant but related to the electronic format and performance: Samuel Kerridge (UK – Contort) featuring Taylor Burch; February 16: Deena Abdelwahed (TN – Arabstazy); March 15: Rabih Beaini (RL – Morphine Records); April 19: kyoka (JP – Raster Not on); May 17: AGF (DE – AGF Producktion).
The second show is on Tuesday 16th February at 9 pm with Deena Abdelwahed (TN – Arabstazy) at Sala Hiroshima. The young Tunisian producer, combines urban rhythms with energetic personal touches of Arabic art and psychedelic experimentation. For the occasion, Deena will add the sound to Dereliction suspendue I & II and two videos of AudeRrose and Brent Sqar has been selected as afinalist of the call “LST Poetry In The Darkness”.
AudeRrose is a multidisciplinary artist who works with video, photography and performance taking the human body as the main benchmark of a multimedia research between space, time and narrative. He uses scenography and video in real time and his work has been presented at different international festivals.
Brent Sqar’s work wants to cancel the distinction between “being” and “image”, replacing them with the unifying concept of “becoming”. The exhaustive use of the body in his work is the method: the body as a manifestation of a substance in a specific place and time.
Next Saturday from 12 am to 4 pm, LST and Pulitzer Hotel invites you to assist a cocktail with musical sessions inspired by cinematic atmospheres. We will take advantage of the event to make networking between professionals in the audiovisual sector and the course participants “Soundtracks compositions; trends and new ways of working”, conducted by the director of Making Music in Silence – Jesús Díaz from Tuesday, February 16 inside the cycle “LST Poetry in the Darkness “.
