GoZilla!, Dead Ghosts and The Shiva’s from Portland at the Gambeat Weekend.

Despite it’s weird name, the annual Gambeat weekend has established itself and one of the best events of the year for people who think music reached its creative apex in 1969. And with a line-up of some of the best garage rock bands from around the world it’s hard to disagree. This year the festival, held over two nights in Poble Español’s Sala Upload, features Italian fuzz-masters GoZilla!, Burger Records’ own Dead Ghosts, and Calvin Johnson’s favourite new band The Shiva’s from Portland. Expect lots of denim, crazy mosh pits and rivers of beer.
