In the last couple of years Barcelona has been catapulted to the forefront of the European craft beer industry, thanks in no small measure (ha) to the efforts of local brewers and bars centered around the ‘brewxample’ area between c/Muntaner and c/casanova. Despite being a relatively recent addition to the scene, the Brewdog bar, the first bar the Scottish brewers have opened outside the UK, has become a much loved part of the community. Re-paying the compliment as it were, are their Bottle Club nights, a tasting of 5 local beers along with the expert guidance you’d expect.
