Twenty years of Accidents Polipoètics

Their show Ontología General is celebrating 20 years of recitals by the group's two rhapsodists in the La Seca Espai Brossa.

It seems like it was only yesterday when Accidents Polipoètics and its two components Xavier Theros and Rafael Metlikovez offered their first recital in the bar Mirallet in Granollers in 1991. Time flies by and the two artists have now been reciting together for 20 years and they are celebrating with a new show called Ontología General.

The show, which officially opened on November 15th, is a recital divided into two parts. The first one will take us through their classic polipoetic repertoire (1991-2001) while the second one will feature recent unpublished pieces.

Since its first days, Accidents Polipoètics stepped aside from all conventional circles so that anyone who wanted had the chance of enjoying poetry as another form of entertainment. Poetry recited only by clear voices, without prejudices and with a distinct sense of humor. Poetry that brings the spectator in by turning them into the main active element of the poem.

Up until November 27th we can celebrate in La Seca Espai Brossa those 20 years of on-stage poems spent alongside these two rhapsodists whose intention is to free poetry from its bedside confines. Poetry for people who do not read poetry.
