Put a Souvenir in Your Life
The exhibition "Souvenir. Martin Parr, Photography and Collecting" exceptionally links photography and collecting in the context of tourism.
As summer is on its last leg, our souvenir collection is sure to have grown after our holiday trips.
The souvenir, a nostalgic reminder of the tourist experience and at the same time a collector’s fetish becomes key in the work of Martin Parr and his exhibition: “Souvenir. Martin Parr, Photography and Collecting“.
The exhibition, which will remain open until October 21 at the CCCB, brings together two collections: Martin Parr’s and Juanjo Sources’s. It will be a testament to the amazing relationship between photography and collecting, in the context of the tourist experience.
Those of you who decide to visit the exhibition can leave your own contribution and also get a reward. Alongside the exhibition, Souvenir Crossing has been created. It allows visitors to bring their own souvenir, take home another one among those that people have brought and also get free admission to the exhibition. Let’s go! Rummage through your memories and take part, you might just come back with a right little treasure.
