Barcelona Decides The Future of Mobiles
Mobile World Congress 2012 is in Barcelona laying out the future of the mobile industry and introducing new technologies, devices and ideas.
This week, Barcelona will be the centre of attention. Mobile World Congress, one of the most important conferences in the world, is being held in our city to discuss the mobile world and its great possibilities.
Who could have thought that mobile devices would become a vital part of our daily lives? At this point, mobile technology is increasingly turning up in our day-to-day doings, new products, television, communications, vehicles, books, homes… It’s time to talk about an industry that is experiencing continuous change and that has hardly shown its true potential.
This edition of the MWC comes under the banner “Redefining Mobile” and aims to give great importance to apps and highlight areas such as leisure, transport, advertising and health among others.
Congressional figures are impressive: CEOs from the world’s most influential companies will be here to share their vision of the future. There will be more than 1,400 suppliers, 2,000 development companies, 135 international delegations and more than 60,000 attendees from 200 countries are expected to arrive.
MWC will be held until March 1st at the Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc. This year we say goodbye to the Fira de Barcelona as the next editions of the congress are going to be held at Gran Via.
