Great travelers are always looking for places or images that etch themselves into our memory both for their beauty and for the amazing stories behind them. Many times, these amazing stories can be much closer than we think. In places, sometimes forgotten, that hide legends that we can feel and touch so close as they are.

La Vall de Boí is one of those places. A small corner in the Catalan Pyrenees made up not only of scenery, mountains and valleys but also of its people, its culture and its traditions. An enclave marked, as it always has been and always will be, by all that is Romanesque.

The Palau Robert, through the exhibition Vall de Boí, World Heritage, invites us on a trip to the valley’s heart. It shows us the Romanesque heritage and natural beauty of the Vall de Boí, which has been declared a World Heritage Site.

The exhibition offers a journey through the highlights of the valley’s history from the construction of its important Romanesque churches until what we can find today. Although the focus of the exhibition is in the Romanesque, we can also see pictures of the magnificent Aigüestortes National Park and the various cultural and tourist activities that are carried out.

In addition, the exhibition will show us El futur de la Vall, an audiovisual work by children who were born in 2000, the year the valley was declared a World Heritage Site. The work will take us on a tour of the Vall de Boí through the children’s eyes.

Let’s just for once forget about our backpacks and cases and just enjoy the journey.
