Christmas is also about music
La Pedrera is offering a series of Christmas music concerts to enjoy with the family and to celebrate that the holidays are here.
We all know that Christmas brings quite a lot of things. Besides being a time of good cheer and joy, we all get the occasional gift—which is not bad at all—and we enjoy feasting with the whole family. And when we don’t feel ashamed anymore, who can deny not having picked up a tambourine, a drum or even a bottle of anisette and not having sung the odd carol. Christmas is also about music.
Without detailing too much the quality of carols sung in family, we propose a series of Christmas Concerts that CX La Pedrera has organised between the 14th and 18th of December.There’s no doubt that you will enjoy Christmas music in its many varieties: everything from chamber music to a choir or even gospel.
The series starts with Navidad de Cámara en La Pedrera: Alba Ventura y David Cohen, a concert where we can enjoy the finest works written for cello and piano. Musique exquise. La Navidad sue no volvimos a casa focuses on the prose and poetry recited by Albert Benzekry and traditional carols sung by the tenor Jordi Cortada. In the third concert Navidad Coral en La Pedrera: Coral Càrmina we will enjoy magical voices and a cappella singing. There is also entertainment for younger children, and plenty of it, with Minimúsica de Navidad, a Christmas-themed concert aimed at children. And last but not least, Gospel a La Pedrera per Nadal. The greatest songs of contemporary gospel and other more traditional ones performed by the renowned choir of the Taller de Músicos, Barcelona Gospel Messengers.
Five concerts in five days to enjoy Christmas music like never before.
